This photo is from a few years ago with a Plein Air group I organized for the Fine Arts Preservation Society. The photo is by Sarah Thibodeaux, one of our featured artists local to New Orleans who happened to stopped by that day.
Here I am in my early 20’s in almost the exact same spot.
I enjoy painting outside, and always bring a small paintbox with me when I travel. The experience of Plein air painting informs other genres in unexpected ways.
