After winning the Cresson European Traveling Scholarship from The PAFA Museum School, My father made haste to send me a hand drawn map of his art recommendations in Europe With three months to travel, study, and paint….I memorized this the best I could and took off with my paint box and back pack. It was the year 2000, and I did not yet have a cell phone for assistance with directions, planning, or communication. I made my own 3 month itinerary with this as an influence and left. When I returned for my last year of school I exhibited a series of painting from the trip at Artist’s house gallery in Philadelphia.
