What a treat to meet the Latvian Ambassador to the United States, Elita Kuzma. We had a wonderful visit & conversation about our mutual appreciation and love for the arts. Latvia and New Orleans are similar in so many ways! We are both port cities on a river and maintain unique identities through varied art forms.
Discussing my father’s 3 monumental murals at the Windsor Court Hotel was the perfect setting, Thank you Walter Wolf Latvian Honorary Consulate of Latvia in New Orleans for organizing these events and bringing us all together.
This last picture shows me a few decades ago helping my father remove the mural from the studio where it was painted. We were preparing it for transport and installation at the Windsor Court Hotel.
